Instead of the home care program assigning your caregivers and schedule, you choose a care agency like Prime to provide your care—or hire your own staff. We assist with the care delivery, paperwork, and coordination so you can focus on what matters.

Who Qualifies
For Self & Family Managed Care: You must be a current or eligible Manitoba Home Care client assessed by a Home Care Case Coordinator and approved for home care services. If you are not yet a client, contact your local home care office or reach out to us first—we can help guide you through the process.

For MPI, VAC, WCB, Blue Cross, and the Public Guardian and Trustee of Manitoba, we bill your funding source directly. You pay only what your plan doesn’t cover (if anything).
Yes. Many families use government funding for core services and supplement with private pay for additional hours or services.

Yes. If you were injured at work and have an active WCB claim, your approved home care services may be covered. We bill WCB directly—contact us and we’ll coordinate with your case manager.
It’s a $1,400 annual refundable provincial tax credit for individuals providing unpaid care for 90 or more consecutive days to a family member assessed at Level 2 care or higher. It won’t cover professional care costs, but it helps offset the financial strain on family caregivers. Ask us how professional home care can complement your caregiving role.
